Hope Studios is in post-production on a short film following Abraham and Isaac’s journey up the mountain to present their sacrifice. Oscar-nominated Eric Roberts, best known for his roles in The Dark Knight, The Expendables, and Runaway Train, plays the role of Abraham. Directed by Ruslan Zavricico, the film takes a unique perspective on the well-known story amongst the three Abrahamic faiths (Muslims, Jews, and Christians), focusing on Isaac, played by Teryn Macallan, and his internal struggle as he realizes he is the sacrifice.

After spending time in predominantly Muslim countries in the Middle East, Zavricico wanted to produce a film to build a bridge between the Abrahamic faiths. “The story offers a fresh perspective and a renewed understanding of a well-known narrative. The concept of sacrifice is central to all three Abrahamic religions, which is why this film can build bridges and inspire a wider audience to study Scripture. As I began to imagine how Abraham and his son had to trust each other and God in the process, I was moved to tears. I am now pouring all my effort into helping others experience that father-son relationship.”

The film is scheduled to debut at the International Christian Film Festival in Orlando, FL, where it has been nominated in two categories. Watch Hope Studios social media in the coming weeks to see behind-the-scenes footage from the set.
