Production Begins on 11 to 1 Billion

Soviet Union, Cold War. KGB spies pull a man and his son from a train for smuggling illegal weapons from Romania. The weapon that could affect the minds of the people and cause the downfall of Communism? A Bible.

11 to 1 Billion is a true, doc-drama, father-son story of two men who dared to defy the Soviet Union in sharing a message of hope by copying 11 pages at a time on a typewriter. In his own words, that young boy, now a grown man who watched the fall of Communism, shares his story of going from a typewriter in a closet to running a massive, global media network spanning over 200 countries sharing the Gospel that got him and his father arrested.

Hope Studios has partnered with producing couple, John and Judy Grooters, to bring this story to life on location in Bucharest, Romania. The Grooters are best known for Tortured for Christ and Sabina: Tortured for Christ - currently on the Angel Studios platform - and their films for the Ark Encounter Museum. Filming begins later this month on the set in Romania.
